A Special Labor Day Thank You

Thank you to the guys who hit 40 hours by Thursday at 10:00 a.m.

Thank you to the women who just ran up a boatload of debt on their credit cards to meet payroll

Thank you to the principals who lead educators from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and then get to deal with school boards

Thank you to surgery residents who sleep at hospitals so that they can become excellent healers

Thank you to dairy farmers who know that the girls have to be milked at 4:45 a.m. every morning, even on Labor Day

Thank you to innovators who came up with new product ideas, which then required manufacturers, sales people, and HR administrators

Thank you pastors who miss their kids' performances in order to love other families back into wholeness

Thank you to parents who work second jobs to send their kids to good schools

Thank you to NCOs in combat theaters for the third round, who really can't remember what time off means

Thank you to parochial school teachers who work for peanuts because instilling Christian character matters

Today, thank you to everybody who labors long and hard not because it's in their contract or because they get time and a half, but because it's who they are
